Returns Policy

Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) apply to all purchases from Nitecore NZ and are not limited by this policy.


Change of Mind Returns

If you've changed your mind about a purchase, we're happy to help where we can. Change of mind returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving your order, at our discretion, subject to the following conditions:

  • The item is unused and in original condition
  • All original packaging, accessories, and documentation are included
  • Proof of purchase is provided (this will be via email - printed invoice not essential)
  • The item is not a consumable (e.g. batteries) or a special-order product

Please contact us before sending anything back. Returns sent without prior authorisation may not be accepted.

For approved change of mind returns, we offer store credit or an exchange. Return shipping is at your cost, and we recommend using a tracked courier service as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit. Change of mind returns do not entitle you to a cash refund.


Faulty or Non-Compliant Products

If your product is faulty, unsafe, doesn't do what it's supposed to, or doesn't match its description, you have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act regardless of how long ago you purchased it.

Minor faults: We will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion — whichever is most appropriate to the situation.

Major faults: You may choose to return the product for a full cash refund or a replacement. A fault is considered major if a reasonable person would not have bought the product had they known about the problem, or if it cannot be remedied within a reasonable time.

For all fault-based returns, we will cover return shipping costs. Please contact us first so we can assess the issue and arrange the best outcome for you.

We are not able to offer a remedy where the fault has been caused by misuse, accidental damage, or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.


Nitecore Manufacturer Warranty

Nitecore products are backed by a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty claims can be assessed through us as your New Zealand distributor. Note that manufacturer warranties operate alongside — and do not replace — your rights under the CGA.
