Security Policy

Your Security Matters

Shopping at Nitecore NZ should be straightforward and safe. This page explains how we protect your personal information and payment details when you shop with us.

SSL Encryption

Our website runs entirely over HTTPS, meaning every page — including browsing, account login, and checkout — is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. This ensures that any data passing between your browser and our site cannot be intercepted or read by third parties. You can verify this by checking for the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.

Payment Security

All credit and debit card payments on Nitecore NZ are processed by Stripe, one of the world's leading payment platforms. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1 — the highest level of payment security certification available.

When you enter your card details at checkout, that information is transmitted directly and securely to Stripe. Nitecore NZ never sees, handles, or stores your card number — it goes straight to Stripe's secure servers. We only receive confirmation that a payment was approved.

For more information on Stripe's security practices, visit stripe.com/docs/security.

Bank Transfer

We also accept direct bank transfer payments. Bank transfers do not involve sharing card details with anyone — you initiate the transfer directly from your own bank. Our account details are provided at checkout and are the only information exchanged.

Your Personal Information

When you place an order or create an account, we collect only the information needed to process and deliver your order — your name, delivery address, email address, and phone number. This information is stored securely within the Maropost Commerce platform, which powers our webstore.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your details are used solely to fulfil your orders and communicate with you about those orders.

Passwords

If you have a customer account with us, your password is stored in encrypted form — it is never stored as plain text and cannot be read by us or anyone else. We recommend using a unique password for your Nitecore NZ account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@nitecore.co.nz and we will help you secure it.

Your Rights Under New Zealand Law

Nitecore NZ complies with the Privacy Act 2020. You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct any inaccuracies. To make a request, contact us at info@nitecore.co.nz.
